The existence of God…
There are varying views about ‘God’ in this world. Philosophers have their views, the religious have their views, the uncertain have their views… who is to say which view or opinion is right? Can all opinions be right at the same time? That would lead to confusion! What if we totally deny any notion of a ‘God’ at all? That would lead to denying the created world… Does a building not have a builder? Does a painting not have an artist? We see intelligence in the natural world, in the seasons of the year, even in our own bodies… (remember those science classes in school?) So logic would tell us there must be an objective truth, even a Higher Intelligence as the basis for our existence.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.Genesis 1:1-2, The Holy Bible: God’s Word
The Scriptures known as the Bible start with the fact that God already exists, and simply tells us what He has done. The Bible is not trying to prove the existence of God, it is simply revealing that which is, which was, and will be. So the question for the philosopher, the skeptic, or anyone is this:- if we exist because of a Creator, don’t we need to know who that is?
